What It Is:
A true icon of Italian cocktail culture, the Negroni was born in the early 1900s when Count Camillo Negroni asked for a stronger version of his favourite Americano cocktail. By swapping soda water for gin, the bartender created a bittersweet and elegant drink that remains beloved to this day.
To create a Negroni, mix equal parts of gin, Campari, and vermouth over ice in a mixing glass. Stir until well chilled and strain into a rock glass filled with ice. Garnish with an orange peel.
