Our Notes
From two vineyards in the Southernmost Otago region of New Zealand, the Te Wahi ("the place" in te reo Maori, the Maori language) Pinot Noir is devoted to bringing out the unique character and cool continental climate of that region.
It's complex Pinot with a textured mouthfeel and plenty of lively acidity to brighten things up, and suits savouring on a cozy night in as much as it suits a spot as an all-purpose stunner at a de luxe winter banquet.
From the Winemaker
Te Wahi means ‘the place’ in te reo Māori, reflecting both the importance of terroir and the sense of finding our second home.
It is a powerful wine with an opulent core of dark berry fruit and structured tannins. Over time, warm spices and notes of forest floor flourish and provide complexity.
